My very own tutorial!!!

This is the first tutorial I have posted that is absoultely 100% mine.
I am soooo excited and hope the handful of people who follow me are too!
And if you are not officially a follower, please follow and make my day!
OK now for the tutorial:

Upcycled Oatmeal Canister becomes a perfect place to hold hair accessories.
All you need is an empty oatmeal container, an old sweater sleeve, and a glue gun.
Simple right?

I chose brown to match our animal print bathroom.
Cut the sleeve from one adult sweater and stretch the cut end over the canister top.

Then grab cut ends, twist, and cut about an inch from the canister
(or have a lovely assistant like I did cut it for you).

Then add some glue to the bottom of the canister, twist again and pat onto hot glue.
Then I added a few more drops of glue here and there to secure.

Turn over and add glue along the rim of the canister top and
press your finished sweater sleeve edge onto the canister.

That's it! Now you can add all of your hair accessories to your creation.

My kiddos even put their mirror and hair dryer in here.

Let me know what you think and please share if you make your own.

Just like thin mints!

I made these totally scrumptious cookies today.
They taste just like Thin Mint Cookies!

They are SO EASY to make-Really!
I wish I could say I created them myself...but, I didn't.
To get the complete tutorial, head on over to The Picky Palate,
one of my fave blogs (really, my cooking/baking ideas would really suffer without her and some of the other fabulous blog-gals I follow).

I did it!!!

Well I finally got around to making my Christmas Subway Art and Yarn Ball Wreath.
What do you think?

I added some Braided ornaments as well. Just take three scraps of fabric.
Tie together with a knot on one end and then braid.

Then pin one end of the braid to the styrofoam ball or ornament and wrap around.
I finished mine off with a dot of hot glue.
Now for some Subway Art!

Potatoe Quesadilla

Yes, I know Potatoe Quesadilla does not sound real good.
But wait until you try it. YUM-O!
There's a local place that used to make these and I just love them.
Wanna know how to make them?
Here's what you will need. Oh yes, and whatever you use to make your mash potatoes.
I use butter, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic salt or garlic ( or left over mashed potatoes).

They are SO Delicious! Enjoy!

Fabulous Wreaths!

I was searching blogs for ideas for craft night and came across some unique and creative ideas for wreaths. These ladies are amazing.
Have you ever seen anything so beautiful? Check out her blog and her unique paper creations.
Or head on over to her Etsy shop and start your Christmas shopping.

Or how about these paper creations from Rusty Rooster Village.
I wish I lived near this girl so I could see her wreaths in person.

If felt and yarn are more your style, check out this fun wreath over at Felt So Cute.
Her tutorial seems easy enough to follow and the possibilities to personalize are endless.

I LOVE burlap and so this wreath really caught my eye. I will be using this idea from
Bonnie at Celebrate The Journey and making myself a Christmas wreath real soon.

Wow! This wreath is a work of art! Alison at Oopsey Daisy is the Queen of Patience in my book.
These crepe roses are amazing!

Just as amazing are these gorgeous buds created out of leaves. Yes, they are leaves.

Here's another great way to use old paper. See the tutorial at House Revivals

Last, but not least is this down to earth Christmas yarn wreath fro Recaptured Charm.
I am sitting down to make this today. I will post pictures soon.

I hope you have been inspired to create something fun yourself.
Head on over to these super fabuous sites and
be sure to leave a comment if you see something you like.
Happy Thanksgiving.
