February Pictures!

It has been a very busy month. School prep has kept me too busy to blog :(
So here are a few shots of what we have been up to. Have a blessed Sunday!
I made this wall vignette and think it came out rather well. What do you think?

And...I have been using my chalkboard a lot more!

I am so proud of Daniel!!! The character of the month was Caring/Considerate.
The "Emily's" decided they would swim because the sun was out! Silly girls! It's cold!!
 Daniel got in too!
This is what my hubbie got me at the "Re-Store" I am sanding and using chalkboard paint on some and using my Silhouette on some others!
Here is Daniel frosting and putting sprinkles on his cupcake for his Valentines party
Katelyn went with a chocolate covered strawberry on top!
These are my little Katie Bug's! Oops, I mean Katelyn's. She doesn't like us calling her that anymore :(
And here are my strawberries! Can you say YUMMY? I dipped some in just in chocolate, some in toasted coconut and then some in salty bacon. Oh my gosh! They were amazing!!! I think this is why my pants are getting tighter :)

That's it for now. I have been working on some other projects with my Super Fab Silhouette! I will try to share later.

My "Baby" is 11!

Wow! I can't believe my little girl is not so "little" anymore. Today my Emily Mae turned 11. I am so proud of the beautiful young lady she is becoming. She is beautiful inside and out, talented, kind, loving and truly a blessing.
Happy Birthday Emily. I love you forever and ever and always :)

Fifth Grade Field Trip

Last week Emily's class went to Berkley for a field trip to Lawrence Hall Museum of Science. It was a long drive but a lot of fun overall. I had a terrible sinus infection, so that made the drive even longer. But, I had great company to share the ride with. Here are some pictures we took during our day.

The View of the bay and the bridges
We learned about "The Amazing Brain"
and made a hypothesis
 about different animals brains.
After that we were able to
hold and observe some of the animals.
Then we got to experiment with
and discover the properties of dry ice.
Is it a gas? A liquid? Or a solid?

Silly Stuff on an overcast day!

As I was perusing some fabulous blogs today
I found some really great ideas, tips, suggestions, etc. Whoa!

I made a list!
(Because that's what I do)!

Background ideas
Cool Crafts
Tips on Design
Sewing Patterns
One word resolutions
Freebies-lots of Freebies!
(I will post links and buttons a bit later)

I came across one Fab Mom who shared Silly things she does whith her kiddos.
One idea caught my eye.
She has her little ones go to one room of the house with an umbrella.
Then she tries to catch a picture of their face.
Easy enough, right?

Well, not with my children!
Questions...
What's the name of the game?
Who wins? How?
How long do we play?
So...I had them pose for a picture
Then I rethought the game and made some of my own rules.
Still didn't work with these three.
So...I changed plans altogether.
How about Freeze Tag?
YEAH!!!
So here are some pics of the Silly Stuff we did on this overcast day.

First, Katelyn had to decide by "eenie, meenie, miinie, moe"
who would tag first

Then the FUN began!

Gotcha!

FREEZE

Go Daniel!

FREEZE

FREEZE

Pudgy wanted to play too

Daniel counting

Then I made them pose for a few more shots ("AHHH Mooommm")

Pudgy was happy to obey

O.K. so I am NOT a great photographer,
but with Photoshop I could probably get them all smiling in the same picture
(That is, if I had Photoshop!)

Sunday Shenanigans

So what did you do on this beautiful, un-winter-like, day? Our family headed up to a shooting range on a friend's property and took turn...
